Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with IFRS/GAAP/PSAK.
Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements, including timely submissions.
Lead the consolidation process for group financial statements.
Accounting Operations:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
Monitor and improve accounting processes and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop annual budgets.
Provide financial forecasts and variance analysis to assist in strategic planning.
Monitor actual performance against budget and provide actionable insights to management.
Tax Compliance:
Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
Manage tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and reporting team, ensuring a high level of performance.
Allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively to meet departmental goals.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
Strategic Support:
Provide financial insights and support to management for strategic decision-making.
Participate in financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the key point of contact for financial reporting matters with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and the board of directors.
Special Projects:
Lead or participate in special projects, such as system implementations, financial transformations, or cross-functional initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable and will be considered a significant plus.
